Trailer for New Edgar Allan Poe Film

The new movie based on the life of prolific weird writer Edgar Allan Poe, "Poe: Last Days of the Raven," will be available next month for a special viewing to celebrate the 200th anniversary since the author's birth. The movie will reportedly premier online for free on January 19th--a one day offering almost certain to mesh well with promising attention it has already received from commentators and critics. This picture was a long term project by Brent Fidler, said to be 24 years in the making by the movie's website.

It is the first serious production to take a look at the life of the nineteenth century writer, rather than his spectral works. A slew of film festival screenings is sure to follow its one day online release. Look for the production to headline the explosion of Poe festivities slated for January and beyond.
