Cthulhu Valentines

Like other holidays that don't correspond well with horror, there appears to be a shortage of Cthulhuvian-themed Valentine's Day items. This is somewhat surprising, however, c0nsidering the widespread existence of Cutethulhu parodies across the online world. It seems like Valentine's Day should be a natural muse for driving new works of maddening cuteness off Lovecraft's creations...

Still, I was able to turn up a few Lovecraftian Valentine's Day pieces:




Though a little late for this year, anyone seeking real Cthulhu Valentines can acquire them in this set of eight cards from Cartouche Press. The $10-20 collection features heartfelt art and messages from an impressive lineup of artists, but unfortunately, previews of the cards themselves are nowhere to be found.
