Trailer for "H.P. Lovecraft's The Book"

A new trailer was recently uploaded to Youtube depicting the upcoming amateur film, "H.P. Lovecraft's The Book." It appears to be loosely based on the fragmentary story of the same name written by Lovecraft late in his career. The old Mythos standbys also seem to have been marshaled for this picture: Miskatonic University, a Professor of the occult, the Necronomicon, and an eager pupil delving where man was never meant to. The effects exhibited in the trailer are, at least, impressive for a Lovecraftian production.

I hold out medium hopes for this one, contingent upon convincing madness and terror to truly give meaning to the special effects, or a new spin on old themes of Yog-Sothery.

In the producer's own words, from his Untamed Aggression Productions website:

A man tries to unlock the meaning of the Necronomicon, the dreaded tome which sent his old professor insane, with HILARIOUS CONSEQUNCES! Adapted from two stories by H.P. Lovecraft, "The Book" and "The Descendant."

Status: Written and the first act is storyboarded. I've handed it in to uni to produce this year, but I sincerely doubt they're gonna touch it, especially since a guy explodes in it and I'm not gonna give them the rights to it unless I can direct it and Nicola produces it.

In the highly likely event that they pass, I may shoot it over Christmas or failing that, Easter. It all depends on the progress of...
