Fake Lovecraft Interview Clip

This one has been floating around Youtube for a little while now. It purports to be a 1933 interview with HP Lovecraft, discussing his works and personal views on pressing issues of the day. It seems to be a trailer for an upcoming movie called "Cthulhu." The clip aroused some debate on a few of the Lovecraftian discussion groups online over its authenticity, but fortunately most everyone acknowledges its falsity now.
The HPL in this little video may not be up to the quality of Christopher Heyerdahl's performance in "Out of Mind: The Stories of H.P. Lovecraft," but it isn't the worst imitation out there. In fact, I dare say the facsimile New England accent and vocal inflections are likely appropriate, perhaps to the dismay of some Lovecraft fans. Anyone who knows how HPL sounded is dead like him, though second hand accounts from his colleagues have been examined and re-printed in ST Joshi's stellar biography, "H.P. Lovecraft: A Life" (also recently re-released in a new, reasonably-priced edition). For what it's worth, according to Joshi's collected observations, Lovecraft was said to have a higher pitched, piping voice. Make of that what you will. In any event, here is the Youtube shard:
