Lolthulhu.com

For those not in the know, lolcats are a recent phenomenon sweeping the internet these days. In essence, they are silly and cute cat pictures complemented with text that is often intentionally misspelled or uses poor grammar. These "geekspeak" using felines are popping up everywhere, from social networking sites to imageboards, from their central hub lolcats.com.
Now, we can add Lolthulhu to the mix. Elder Gods and Great Old Ones with a penchant for "cheezburgers?" I wouldn't have believed it until I stumbled upon this website. Lolthulhu.com replaces the maniacal gibberish of those from beyond with the 'leet babble of today. Now that's really scary!
It is just the latest in the explosion of Lovecraftian (and especially Cthulhuvian) parodies, which some have also dubbed "Cutethulhu." It is also a topic I will likely explore one day in a fuller essay...
