2008 Lovecraft Walking Tour Confirmed
Tuesday, January 29, 2008
The Rhode Island Historical Society has again laid plans for a guided tour of H.P. Lovecraft's Providence for the anniversary of his death on March 15th. "Celebrating H.P. Lovecraft: A Literary Walk" provides a ninety minute walk through many of Lovecraft's old haunts, which are often deep in their own historical riches. Just a mere $12, there's no better event for Lovecraft admirers in the New England area. And if you end up with a full day or two to kill, then why not use the guided walk as a springboard for your own deeper explorations? Let the tour illuminate key points of Lovecraftian history, and then delve into others of interest. This older College Hill Walking Tour map and noted sites makes a great start for a self-guided broader look at Old Providence, and the favorite spots of the city beloved by HPL himself.
