Chaosium Online Returns

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

It appears Chaosium, publisher of Lovecraftian fiction and the famed Call of Cthulhu RPG game, has returned to the web in a slightly re-tooled format after a limited absence. A few new items are available from the new catalog, including a Cthulhu 2008 Presidential campaign lapel sticker. This is arguably the first such official campaign gear for the perennial candidate beyond time and space. Chaosium's "Strange Page" of specials is definitely worth checking out. The periodically updated page provides some incredible cut rate offers on material held by Chaosium. Many of the books are "shopworn" texts with cover defects, which still provide a great value for the pages within--at least for the casual reader and gamer. Right now, in addition to several gaming scenarios and the Call of Cthulhu starter book, some quality collections of classic weird fiction are on display. Chaosium's editions of weird tales by Robert W. Chambers, Arthur Machen, and several anthologies of Cthulhu Mythos tales are available. The Tsathoggua Cycle and Song of Cthulhu collections are becoming scare outside the online realm.
