"Weird Tales: The Strange Life of H.P. Lovecraft" Available for Listening

The BBC's 2006 radio show on Lovecraft is now available for listening on youtube in its entirety. "Weird Tales: The Strange Life of H.P. Lovecraft" discusses the Providence author's life and works. Drawing on some of the literary and scholarly minds most acquainted with HPL's mind (Neil Gaiman, Peter Straub, S.T. Joshi), the program is one of the better introductions to Lovecraft produced in any media form. All in all, the production successfully gets to the heart of Lovecraft's cosmicism: our place like ants in a vast, uncaring universe. It's also a great biography of the man, illuminating the myriad struggles of Lovecraft in genteel poverty and the rejection of some of his best stories by "Weird Tales" editor Farnsworth Wright.
