Remember those jars filled with brine and deformed monstrosities floating within that you gazed at in your childhood science class? Well, these wares from Avalon Ink, lately appearing on Thomas Ligotti Online forums, have taken the old slimy science specimen one step further. There can be no doubt here: there really are unspeakable things contained in these translucent urns. Some of which are realistic-looking enough to make one wonder whether or not they're entirely dead. After all, that is not dead which can eternal lie...
More than a few of Avalon Ink's products bear Lovecraftian overtones. The specimen featured above puts me in mind of some tiny star spawn extracted from Antarctica. Want to own your own blasphemous creature? Avalon usually retails these items on Ebay, ranging from $20-$50 starting bid. Numerous other detailed pictures can be seen viewed in this thread from TLO.
