"El Joven Lovecraft" the Web Comic

"El Joven Lovecraft" (or "Young Lovecraft") is a Spanish language web comic based in some way, shape, or form off of H.P. Lovecraft and his fiction. Since my understanding of Spanish is vastly less than fluent, I really have little idea what's going on in these comic strips. What they appear to be is a Gothic themed alternative envisioning of Lovecraft in more modern times as a young writer with plenty of female friends. "El Joven Lovecraft" takes a very unorthodox and very internet inspired path to portraying HPL and his creations, something which creator J. Oliver Palma de Mallorca surely knows.
Certainly, the virtual zoo of Lovecraft characters online used in main or supporting roles for various internet projects continues to astound. If you think you've seen all the Lovecrafts there could possibly be, "Young Lovecraft" will prove you wrong. And I don't mean for this to sound like a bad thing. Utilizing Lovecraft as story character is often a healthy and useful way to keep the Providence author and his work alive and appealing to new audiences.
This post must be left at that here, since there's no fair way to judge "El Joven Lovecraft" better without knowing what the characters are saying. Perhaps some readers with knowledge of Spanish would like to chime in and give their opinions on this comic series?
