HPL DVD Set 5: The Thing on the Doorstep

The fifth DVD in Lurker Film's excellent series of Lovecraftian films has surfaced. Or, at least, its cover has. Its feature film is to be "Strange Aeons: The Thing on the Doorstep," a recent release from Maelstrom Productions. As usual, the cover art is very handsome, and the film itself should be a worthy addition to its predecessor films collected on DVD. The producer's Myspace page is quite extensive and includes a great deal of information about their film, including some fun extras like this parody video tying "The Loveboat" and HPL together: "The Lovecraft."

As many already know, the annual H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival kicks off again next week in Portland, Oregon. One look at their schedule shows a great lineup, and a few more nifty images of HPL, on par with others created for the event's posters the last few years. Sadly, I won't be attending, but I've little doubt this year will be another success, and will provide great new material for future DVD collections of cinematic Lovecraft.
