H.P. Lovecraft - Ipotesi di un viaggio in Italia

Today, a very strange documentary about Lovecraft on Youtube worth watching if you've got a half hour. Almost certainly another hoax, not unlike the faux 1933 interview footage posted awhile back, but this one is more clever. It purports to be an investigation of a trip by HP Lovecraft to Italy. This queer documentary is slightly witty, seemingly following a recent trend greater than just Lovecraftian or horror spheres--the production of fake documentaries in an attempt to explore pressing what ifs, provide social commentary, or just generate buzz and hearsay for the hell of it. Though not horror, one of the most intelligent to date is by far "Operation Lune" or "Dark Side of the Moon," a false documentary from 2002 about the filming of the 1969 US lunar landing by famous director Stanley Kubrick.

Needless to say, Lovecraft would have been in heaven in Italy or anywhere in Europe, and this unlikely production does some justice to a fantasy trip that never was. Enjoy, in three parts:
