More HPL Film Festival Links

Just a few more surfacing accounts of the 2007 HP Lovecraft Film Festival. Once again, undeniably a wonderful event which leaves me envious!

  • Undead Scythian's Visit: A security volunteer and attendee at the festival, Undead Scythian provides some personal bits and pieces of the happenings there. A glimpse at some of the con's interworkings and vendors.
  • Unfit to Print Blog: Here, a well written overview of several films featured at the con, including the "Cthulhu" film based on "The Shadow Over Innsmouth." The author's surprise at learning of the con's existence is funny, but not uncommon for the uninitiated in Lovecraft studies and appreciation.
  • HPL Film Festival Images: This is an early gallery of personal images by a couple attendees. Here, you can see more than a few pics of the photographers, but also get a sense of what the festival itself looked like. Seems like a handsome old theater!
Finally, I found this recent clip on Youtube, a brief animated opening for the block of short films presented. Directed and animated by Robin Ator, with sounds by Michael Corrigan, it is another talented animated short in its own right. With up and coming artists like this, it should not be surprising to witness an influx of Lovecraftian animated films in the future.
