"Artists Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft" Shipping
Sunday, May 25, 2008
Centipede's massive Artists Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft has begun shipping, according to this update on their blog. It has already reached the greedy paws of some lucky merchants and collectors. I personally witnessed the physical existence of the great tome last weekend at a local store well known for its Lovecraftiania. Though I didn't get the chance to sift through its pages, the $395.00 beauty lives up to its reputation, at least in initial presentation. It would easily fill the lap of the eager student, and would forever dominate the coffee table of the decadent host. I understand this gigantic edition comes very well packed, so the chance of shipping damage is all but negligible.
Look for it to crop up in the stores of even more online merchants soon, or in any locale with a penchant (and expansive budget) for weird luxuries. Two things are certain: this book won't easily survive thieves should it appear in any library collections, and its limited release will all but double its value within several years.
