Cult of Cthulhu Philosophy

The real life Cult of Cthulhu: wizened practitioners of esoteric power to some, or Satanists taking Lovecraft too far to others. In this Youtube video, cult founder Darrick Dishaw (otherwise known as Venger Satanis) explains the core philosophy of the controversial organization. It's not too far off to say they embrace a hybrid of traditional dark magic currents like Satanism and chaos magic, coupled with Lovecraftian symbolism. Interestingly, they also maintain the existence of slumbering Cthulhu and other entities from the pen of H.P. Lovecraft as literal forces--called into creation by believer's faith, or solidified into reality if they already existed.
