"La Herencia Valdemar" Details and Images Released

Aullidos.com, a Spanish site devoted to horror, has recently released images and sketchy details from a little known Lovecraftian movie. Ostensibly inspired either by a H.P. Lovecraft tale or a collection of them, "La Herencia Valdemar" ("The Valdemar Inheritance") seemingly involves mysterious disappearances occurring in a Victorian mansion. Dread Central posted this brief summary gleaned from their sources:

The story starts when Luisa Llorente, an expert in building appraisal, disappears shortly after moving to the mysterious Victorian mansion owned by the Valdemar family. The owner of Luisa’s company hires someone to find the appraiser, but soon they find out that he was not the only disappearance...
Though it's almost meaningless to speculate, the important mention of a mansion immediately conjures references to two outstanding tales in my mind: "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward" and "The Lurking Fear." The latter is more likely for any Lovecraftian film involving disappearances in a mansion. In the original story, the accursed Martenses descend into the ground and transform over a period of decades, leaving a hideous impression on their former dwelling and the surrounding community. This is a plausible scenario the picture might try to retell, though with so little known about it, I could be utterly off base.

Curiously, its title also suggests a short story by Edgar Allan Poe, "The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar." If it truly derives input from both Lovecraft and Poe, and successfully executes a mixture of both literary influences, then this one may turn out quite well. Hopefully, this isn't just another movie in a slew of recent ones to carry H.P. Lovecraft's name or "influence" with little relation to Lovecraftian content. Like most Lovecraftian films, it must be given the benefit of the doubt, if not until release, then at least until more information surfaces. No release date is yet known.
