"The White Ship" Comic

Lulu is notorious in publishing circles as a major online vanity press. In the realm of Lovecraftiana especially, one can find reams of poorly written Lovecraft pastiches throughout Lulu's echoing chambers of high priced, low quality wares. That much said, it can't be denied that a winner surfaces once in awhile. This rarity appears to be extended to a graphic novel based on H.P. Lovecraft's story "The White Ship." Drawn and adapted by Timothy Sparvero, the twenty five page comic includes the entirety of "The White Ship," plus a short rendering of Lovecraft's prose poem "Memory."
Best of all, "The White Ship" comic is a fairly good value. It can be downloaded for a mere $1.25 or purchased in print form for $7.00. Even better, a preview of the first ten pages is up at the Lulu page for the item here. It may not quite be Boom! Studios' "Fall of Cthulhu," but "The White Ship" is a work of self-generated Lovecraftiana that might fetch far greater interest and value in subsequent decades.
